Em vídeo, Citroën mostra mais detalhes do Basalt nacional
Modelo já está sendo produzido de forma plena em Porto Real (RJ) e será lançado ainda neste semestre

A Stellantis iniciou a produção do Citroën Basalt no Polo Automotivo de Porto Real, Rio de Janeiro, nesta quarta-feira (18). O evento marca o encerramento do atual ciclo de investimentos da empresa, ao mesmo tempo em que celebra o anúncio de um novo aporte de R$ 3 bilhões para a fábrica fluminense, previsto para o período entre 2025 e 2030.
Emanuele Cappellano, presidente da Stellantis para a América do Sul, enfatizou a importância estratégica da planta de Porto Real, destacando que, além do início da produção do Basalt, a unidade se prepara para ampliar sua capacidade de produção, gerar novos empregos e desenvolver tecnologias voltadas à descarbonização da mobilidade.
Os R$ 3 bilhões que serão aplicados nos próximos anos somam-se aos investimentos feitos desde 2011, totalizando mais de R$ 13 bilhões destinados à modernização da fábrica. Esses recursos serão direcionados ao desenvolvimento de novos produtos, tecnologias e à otimização dos processos de produção.
Aproveitando o início da produção do Citroën Basalt, a marca divulgou também um vídeo com mais detalhes sobre o novo SUV cupê, que será lançado em breve no Brasil. O modelo se destaca pelo design robusto, incluindo uma dianteira vertical, capô elevado e molduras de rodas geométricas, detalha a fabricante.
Grande aposta da Citroën para o segmento de SUVs, o Basalt, que já estreou na Índia, apresenta como diferenciais sua cabine espaçosa e um porta-malas com capacidade em torno de 470 litros.
Na Índia, o Basalt mede 4.352 mm de comprimento, 1.765 mm de largura e 1.593 mm de altura, com um entre-eixos de 2.651 mm. No Brasil, espera-se que essas dimensões sejam mantidas ou sofram pequenas alterações. Como comparação, o Hyundai Creta fabricado no interior de São Paulo possui 4.300 mm de comprimento, 1.790 mm de largura, 1.635 mm de altura e 2.610 mm de entre-eixos.
